Ongoing education is a primary need across industries at this time and this unique 30-hour program is designed to teach adults how to teach other adults, no matter the context.
Around the country approximately 50 million children, from preschool through seniors in high school are learning. At the same time, over 200 million adults are learning on the job, through specialized training modules, or on their own. This program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to teach adults what they need to know, no matter the setting or context. Our students work in a variety of areas, including providing professional teacher development, workplace training, informal education in healthcare and wellness settings and adult literacy programs, just to name a few.
Children learn in a variety of ways and most collegiate education programs address those techniques specifically. But adults learn in different ways than children. And that’s what sets this program apart.
With a Master’s of Education in Adult Education, you will learn how to design and implement a range of curricula and programs for adult learners. You’ll learn how to provide solutions for adult learners facing challenges in educational growth, professional development, and more in order to help them redefine the boundaries of their potential and to find their life’s calling.

A 15-hour graduate core meets the national standards for Graduate Programs in Adult Education.
This core is complemented by graduate cognates in Communication, Criminal Justice, Educational Technology, Organizational Administration and Change, School Nurse, Seminary and TESOL.
